And all that jazzzz

The 1920s has always been my favorite era. It can be defined as the era of rebellion and extreme drastic changes in fashion, especially apparent in women's clothing. The 20's exposed several styles that would not have been socially accepted if it were to make an appearance years before. Sex appeal was fully emphasized. Bare shoulders, visible makeup, rouge knees, red lipstick, short skirts/dresses and big showy jewelry were just a few accessories to compliment the 20's. Women rebelled against social norms and laws and expressed their rebellion through the way they dressed as well as the way they acted from smoking cigarettes, dancing "immorally" to jazz music, and cutting their hair to resemble that of men. The 20's was an epoch that dented the fashion world and continues to influence even our fashion trends today. I swear I was born in the wrong era...
